Websites by Brenton Nickles

Your website, off WordPress — faster, found, and yours.

I move websites off WordPress and SiteGround onto fast, modern sites hosted on Vercel. No plugins to update, SEO built into every page, and a site you actually own.

This site is the proof: technickles.com used to run on WordPress at SiteGround. Every page here has been rebuilt the new way.

What changes

Less to maintain. More people finding you.

Plugins, themes and WordPress updates to keep up with

Nothing to update — no plugins, no theme, no database

Pages built on the fly by a server, every visit

Pages built ahead of time and served from Vercel's global network

SEO bolted on with a plugin, page by page

Titles, descriptions, structured data and a sitemap built into every page

A site locked inside a hosting account

Your site lives in your own GitHub repository — you own it

How it works

Four steps, and you see everything before it goes live

Your current site stays up the whole time. Nothing changes until you've approved the new one.
  1. 1

    Review

I go through every page of your current site — the content worth keeping, the broken links, the leftovers.

  2. 2

    Rebuild

Your real content, in a clean modern design that works beautifully on phones.

  3. 3

    Preview

You get a private preview link to click through and leave notes on, before anything changes.

  4. 4

    Launch

Your domain moves over, old page addresses forward to the new ones, and your email keeps working.
